Tiramisu Here is a recipe by a French postdoc, Delfine, who worked down the hall from me for several years. She brought Tiramisu to a laboratory party once and it was amazing. She waved it off, saying that it was the simplest thing to make. I finally bugged her enough that she emailed me the recipe (back in April of 2004). Here it is in her exact words, although the notes in parentheses are mine:
Tiramisu
| 2 eggs | 250 g mascarpone [one small container] |
| 100 g sugar [about 1/2 cup] | lady fingers |
| cocoa powder | black coffee |
Mix the yellow part of the eggs with the sugar. Add the mascarpone. Beat the white part of the eggs and add them to the previous mix.
In a tray, put 1 layer of lady fingers (soaked in the coffee), 1 layer of the mix, then 1 layer of the cocoa powder. Repeat until you fill out the tray.
Enjoy!
